‘My’ Mailing List

I’ve been approached by a couple of people now for access to my Nott Tuesday mailing list. I thought it was worth setting the record straight on this.

Nott Tuesday is my attempt at establishing a community of people working in IT in Nottingham. It is not a formal networking business that someone can become a signed up member of.

The contact details and connections I make through this initiative are my personal contacts and connections as they are for all of you.

Please do not think that by engaging with me that you will end up on a distribution list that I will hawk around to people wanting to access you all.

However, if you have events, schemes, and/or initiatives that you would like to share with the group there is still an opportunity to do so.

The Nott Tuesday website is available for you all to use. The web site will evolve over the coming months and part of what I would like to see is sharing of information among members.

The post by George Rice of the University of Nottingham about the Knowledge Transfer Voucher Scheme is a great example.

If you’ve written an article that you’d like to publish on a subject dear to your heart then that’s welcome too. Also welcome is a summary and a link back to an article on your personal blog.

I am going to reserve the right to exercise editorial control, I don’t want this to descend into a thinly veiled hawking of wares. I’m sure you feel the same.

So, if you’d like to share something with or ask something of the rest of the community, please drop me an email for a login to the site.

Tuesday March 10th 18:30 – 20:30

The next event will be held at Cape Bar, Nottingham again on Tuesday 10th March, starting at 18:30.

I plan to have a slight change to the format this time thanks to a suggestion from Nick Barker. I’m going to try and organise 2 speakers one external and one from the group.

If you can recommend or introduce me to anyone you think we should have speaking to us please let me know.

Also, if you have something you’d like to share with the rest of the group then again drop me an email or dm.

Please leave any comments on any other ways we could improve the events.
