Being the day after Easter Monday, this was always going to be a quieter affair. However even a last minute change of venue didn’t almost 30 Nott Tuesday regulars from meeting up.
Bluu provided a great substitute venue and I’m thinking this could be our venue going forward. Please leave your thoughts in the comments.
The speaking slot was also very different to previous events. Phil Campbell ‘s talk turned into an interactive session on the merits and mechanics of being ‘sociable’ with your media.
Whereas previous ‘speakers’ had spoken, Phil engaged the attendees in a valuable discussion about his experiences with social media and how others could benefit.
This raised some interesting questions for me about the Nott Tuesday format. I welcome your thoughts, again in the comments, about how future sessions might be run. Should we try and have some more interactive discussions lead by experts? What topics would be of interest?
Next up was CJ Lyon launching Media Camp Nottingham.
This is an innovative UnConference exploring the latest digital trends in:
- Web design and development
- Communications, branding, advertising and PR
- Arts, media and culture
- Games and virtual worlds
- Digital media, blogging and social media.
Networking continued in the main bar at Bluu featuring much intense discussion on a wide range of topics, which for me stretched from business models for online gaming to the altitude sickness risks in Peru.
Looking forward to next month. See you all there, it’s going to be a biggie.
