It was a great turnout for June’s event. With my desire to move things more technical I was expecting a big drop in numbers, not so at all. In fact I think there might have been more of you there than at the previous month’s start-up competition.
Basically I banged on about how great Agile Development was, how it changed my life, made Esendex what it is today, cured swine flu, etc. Then fortunately the discussion started and I really enjoyed it.
Nigel Ainscoe helped out by providing a Scrum perspective counter point to my Extreme Programming musings. Nigel, can you add some links to this post.
Lot’s of you chipped in with experiences, concerns and issues you were facing getting agile adopted in your environment.
A few of you seemed convinced that it was just RAD by a different name so I can’t have been explaining it clearly.
What do you think? Useful? Are you planning to implement it? Can anyone share any case-studies with the group that those needing to convince management can use to help their case?
Also, what shall we talk about next month on the 14th July?
